'The Avengers 3' Rumors, News, Update: Is Spider-Man Headed to 'Infinity War Part 1?'

Earth could now have its new band of defenders when Marvel's Cinematic Universe progresses to Phase 3.

A new heap of rumors perpetrated by The Latino Review pointed out to a whole new cast of characters joining the Avengers, and Spider-Man might be one of them.

Avid readers of the Marvel comics could easily say about the fate of some the superhero team's key players. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is set to appear in "Captain America: Civil War" and spoiler reports (based on the comic book canon) indicated that this movie will see the demise of the super soldier.

Thor (Chris Helmsworth) is also hinted to end up in a bad shape in "Thor: Ragnarok," the franchise's third installment to which Marvel screenwriter Christopher Yost and studio boss Kevin Feige implied to be "the end of all things."

With the current flagship heroes already bound for inexistence, Rob Keyes of Screen Rant speculated that fans of the Avengers franchise will likely to meet a whole new batch of heroes and the first to arrive will be none other than Spider-Man.

"If Marvel and Sony can make it work, it's the best thing that can happen to Spider-Man and the MCU. Spider-Man should show up in The Avengers and we've said that since the first movie saw his home, New York, under attack by aliens," ScreenRant said in a statement.

Earlier theories indicated that during "The Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1" viewers will see the web-slinging Peter Parker playing a key role in saving Earth from yet another crisis.
