'The Voice' Season 9 News: Korin Bukowski Heads Home After Surviving Two Eliminations
Third time's definitely not a charm for Team Gwen's Korin Bukowski after she landed at the bottom 2 for three consecutive weeks. However, singing her heart out last night on "The Voice" did not impress the public to vote for her, and she ultimately went home.
According to E! Online, Korin did not get enough Twitter votes after she forgot the lyrics during the sing-off with her fellow teammate, Braiden Sunshine, who sang Maroon 5's "Harder to Breathe." The 19-year-old artist sang "Try" by Colbie Caillat, but she stumbled remembering the words of the song several times. Despite forgetting the lyrics, the website said she still earned a standing ovation from the coaches after finishing the performance strongly.
In other news, the seven of the top 10 singers of "The Voice" season 9 managed to claim spots on iTunes singles chart. Those who made it are Team Blake's Emily Ann Roberts and Barrett Baber; Team Adam's Jordan Smith, Amy Vachal, and Shelby Brown; Team Gwen's Jeffery Austin; and Team Pharrell's Madi Davis. As a rule, the artists that made it to the iTunes chart will receive bonus multipliers in their votes that week.
Meanwhile, Sia performed last night on "The Voice," where she sang her latest single "Alive." According to Hollywood Life, the singer still kept her face hidden (as usual) using a wig that's half black and half white, just like what Mahiro Takano used in "Alive's" music video. Sia received a standing ovation from all four of the coaches, who were also singing with her on their seats. Adam Levine also took the stage before Sia, and the Maroon 5 singer performed "Locked Away" with R. City.
It is just two weeks away until the finals night, and next week, five out of the nine remaining singers will be eliminated. Fans can't wait to see who will battle it out in the finale of "The Voice."
