'The Witcher 3' Features in 'Rocket League' Update

CD Projekt Red will be releasing a new expansion for "The Witcher 3" called Blood and Wine soon. To build up on fans' anticipation, the developer has partnered with Psyonix to bring a special antenna to "Rocket League's" Battle-Cars.

Starting next week, "Rocket League" players will be able to customize their Battle-Cars ala The Witcher style. Tagging along with the game's basketball mode Hoops on Tuesday, April 26, will be a Witcher Medallion Antenna (above).

"Rocket League" Hoops is Psyonix's take on basketball. The free update comes with a new arena called Dunk House, a free NBA logo flag, and the premium NBA Flag Pack, which grants players access to 30 flags emblazoned with the NBA teams' logos.

"Several members of the Psyonix team were big fans of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt last year, so we talked with the awesome developers at CD Projekt Red to see if Geralt of Rivia's iconic Witcher Medallion could make its way into Rocket League! We found the feeling was mutual," Psyonix shared on a blog post.

The Witcher Medallion Antenna sneak peek is the recent in a series of cross-promotion CD Projekt Red and a number of other studios are doing. The developer also collaborated with SCS Software, Coffee Stain Studios, Techland to bring "Rocket League" fans some "Euro Truck Simulator 2"-, "Goat Simulator"-, and "Dying Light"-themed garage items. Psyonix is also showing players of these games some love through a bunch of "Rocket League"-themed items like a Battle-Car dashboard toy and even a new mode. Psyonix did not provide any details on what "Rocket League"-themed goodies it will bring to "The Witcher 3," if any.

Blood and Wine is "The Witcher 3's" second expansion. The first one was Hearts of Stone, which came out last year. To whet fans' appetite for Blood and Wine, CD Projekt Red has recently teased the second batch of screenshots for the expansion. The developer first teased fans with screenshots of the new region of Toussaint in December.
