1. Alabama pastor shot wife at church, killed himself after she preached powerful message, friends say
Prophetess Alisha Woodard was shot by her husband in February after preaching at True Cornerstone Church in Mobile, Alabama. When police responded and pursued Elder Ulysses Woodard, he fatally shot himself in his vehicle.
The couple led True Word of Deliverance Church of God in Prichard and were estranged for a couple weeks before the shooting.
Witnesses who spoke to The Christian Post said Woodard was calling on Jesus as they prayed for her. She was taken to a hospital, where she was recovering.
