In an order titled "Initial Rescissions Of Harmful Executive Orders And Actions," Trump rescinded almost 80 executive actions under the Biden administration on initiatives related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and climate change.
Trump withdrew the United States from both the Paris climate agreement and the World Health Organization.
The withdrawal from the WHO was something Trump had promised during his campaign. He has been critical of the U.N. organization since 2020, alleging a botched response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The U.S. withdrawal could cost the WHO approximately a fifth of their budget.
