2. USCIS blocking trans-identified male athletes from entering the country

In a statement on Monday, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced new guidance declaring that it is in the national interest to withhold job offers and labor certification from male trans-identified athletes seeking entry into the U.S. "whose proposed endeavor is to compete in women's sports."

"Men do not belong in women's sports," said USCIS Spokesperson Matthew Tragesser. "USCIS is closing the loophole for foreign male athletes whose only chance at winning elite sports is to change their gender identity and leverage their biological advantages against women."

Tragesser insisted that "it's a matter of safety, fairness, respect, and truth that only female athletes receive a visa to come to the U.S. to participate in women's sports," adding "the Trump Administration is standing up for the silent majority who've long been victims of leftist policies that defy common sense."

USCIS identified the new guidance as consistent with Trump's executive order titled "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports." Issued in February, the executive order advises federal agencies to interpret Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which requires recipients of federal funding to provide equal opportunities in education for women and girls, to prohibit trans-identified males from competing in women's sports.
