Christian groups praise Biden raising refugee resettlement cap: ‘Blessing to our communities’

Biden vows to set 2022 resettlement cap of 125K refugees

The liberal Protestant mainline denomination the United Church of Christ also expressed support for the refugee ceiling being raised. 

UCC General Minister and President Rev. John Dorhauer explained that while the news “isn’t justice yet,” it nevertheless “is a big step forward in the right direction.”

“I am so grateful to all who agitated and activated and demonstrated and remonstrated to make this happen,” he stated.
