Brad Pitt Wine Sells Out
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wine derived from their French vineyard has sold out upon its debut on Wednesday.
Over 6,000 bottles of "Miraval Rosé 2012" sold in France on the Chateau Miraval web site, at a total of 105 euros per case including taxes and shipping.
"The sales started at 9 a.m., and all the bottles were sold out by 2 p.m.," a spokesperson for Vitabella, the public relations firm representing the vineyard, told ABC News.
One of the highest-paid couples in the world, the engaged actors have owned Chateau Miraval since 2008. The estate is complete with a thousand acres of vineyards in southwestern France.
It was Pitt and Jolie's interest in wine and friendship with French winegrower Marc Perrin that led to a partnership on a special bottle to bear the name Miraval. The first bottle of wine is a 2012 vintage pink rosé with the label reading "bottled by Jolie-Pitt and Perrin," according to People magazine.
When it comes to hard work, the "Mr. and Mrs. Jones" co-stars are no strangers.
"We talked a lot and did the first harvest together," Perrin told French magazine Challenges of the couple. "They are very demanding in seeking excellence in the quality and character of their wine."
Furthermore, Perrin described the wine as "aromatic with a round mouthful that is full of freshness," according to ABC News.
The wine is not the only new project ahead for Pitt and his fiancé. Jolie, 37, who has signed a deal with Walden Media and Universal Studios on the film "Unbroken," according to Entertainment Weekly.
Moreover, Jolie has teamed up with the Coen brothers on the upcoming adaptation of best-selling novel by Laura Hillenbrand.
The film will follow the extraordinary life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic athlete who went on to become a prisoner of war during WWII.
