'Call of Duty: Black Ops' Getting Xbox One Backwards Compatibility This Month?
A new rumor is giving rise to hopes that Activision's "Call of Duty: Black Ops" will finally be playable on the Xbox One in February.
The rumor originated from the video gaming site SoloXboxOne. The site received a message from an Xbox support worker, saying that the title will be added to Microsoft's Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program later this month.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops should be ready this month," the Xbox support worker posted, as translated by Attack of the Fanboy. The Xbox support worker goes on to say that he hopes other games like "Mafia 2" should be ready soon.

Xbox One owners, however, should take this information with a grain of salt. Until Microsoft officially announces or lists the title in its Xbox One Backwards Compatibility library, "Call of Duty: Black Ops" remains as one of the titles the company is currently working on bringing to the service.
In addition to "Call of Duty: Black Ops," Microsoft also lists "Skate 3," "Halo Wars," "BioShock," "BioShock 2," and "BioShock Infinite" as definitely coming to the Xbox One sometime in the future. The company has also confirmed that the original "Dark Souls" game is coming to the console later as well. Developer IO Interactive has also confirmed that "Hitman: Absolution" will be added to the program sometime in the future, too.
"BioShock," "BioShock 2," and "BioShock Infinite" have also recently been rumored to be coming to the Xbox One soon through the "BioShock: The Collection." The bundle has been rated by the Brazilian ratings board for current-generation consoles Xbox One and PS4.
Meanwhile, the "Call of Duty" franchise is set to have another game. This upcoming "Call of Duty" title will be an "innovative" one from developer Infinity Ward. Rumors say the new game could be set in space, although this is not confirmed.
