'BioShock: The Collection': 'BioShock' Remaster Heading for PS4, Xbox One

"BioShock: The Collection" has appeared in the website of the Brazil Advisory Rating Board. The bundle has been rated for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, as well as for current-generation consoles PS4 and Xbox One.

Multiple reports suggest "BioShock: The Collection" includes all three titles in the series and their respective expansion packs. "BioShock," "BioShock 2," and "BioShock Infinite" originally released to the Xbox 360 and PS3, so this would mean apparently that all three "BioShock" games will be remastered for gamers of current-generation consoles PS4 and Xbox One.

Although the listing does not provide any information on "BioShock: The Collection's" release date, it follows months after South African retailer Raru listed "BioShock: The Collection" for PS4 and Xbox One for pre-order on its website with an expected release date of November 2015. That turned out to be a false alarm, but the previous listing and now the rating seem to be pointing to a possible future release of remastered versions of "BioShock" games.

2K Games, which holds the rights to the franchise, has yet to officially announce the bundle, though. With this in mind, it's best for fans to take this new information with a grain of salt.

What's certain, however, is that Microsoft is currently working on bringing the titles to its current-generation console through its Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program. Other titles confirmed to be playable on the Xbox One sometime in the future include "Halo Wars," "Call of Duty: Black Ops," "Skate 3," "Dark Souls," "Hitman: Absolution," "Red Dead Redemption," "Tekken Tag Tournament 2," and "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night."

Microsoft recently added five titles to its Xbox One Backwards Compatibility service, namely "Galaga," "Lego Batman," "Sam & Max," "Trials HD," and "Alan Wake's American Nightmare." More are expected to be added as soon as they're approved.
