Crystal Reed Opens Up About Potential 'Teen Wolf' Spinoff

Crystal Reed recently expressed her interest in joining a possible "Teen Wolf" spinoff.

Reed exited the MTV series at the end of season 3 when her character, Allison, was killed off. She had the chance to return, however, in one episode as Allison's ancestor named Marie-Jeanne Valet.

Since then, fans have been wondering if there would be a spinoff focusing on the first werewolf hunter. The actress spoke with TV Guide on Thursday and said she is not opposed to reprising her role as Allison should MTV decide to order a "Teen Wolf" spinoff.

"I would love that," Reed said 'at New York Comic Con. "I was really excited when they asked me back to play a different character. If you look at MTV, 'Teen Wolf' is the most successful scripted show so I think they'd be silly not to."

She added, "[Teen Wolf] is kind of Jeff Davis' baby, but I think he needs to take a break from it for a moment. If he did [make a spin-off], it would be brilliant I'm sure."

Reports point out that in MTV's target 18 to 34 demographic, the "Teen Wolf" season 6 finale was up 122 percent from the season 5 finale. This means the show ended on a high note, which leaves the door wide open for a potential spinoff.

Reed's statement comes almost a month after Davis talked about plans of making a spinoff drama. While he admitted that there are no concrete plans yet, he offered some insights into what the new series might be about.

The EP said his plans included a story focusing on Scott (Tyler Posey) and another pack — a group that includes "supernatural teenagers that he recruits." He further mentioned that he would like to do a podcast and a storyline that explores Ethan (Charlie Carver) and Jackson's (Colton Haynes) lives in London.
