'Middle-earth: Shadow of War' Guide: Tips for a Better Gameplay Experience

Here are a few guidelines that can help players of "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" have a better experience with their gameplay.

"Shadow of War," the sequel to "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor," was launched this month, and PC Gamer listed a few guidelines that can help players have better gaming experience before engaging with the new game.

Here are some of their tips.

When it comes to choosing the elements of a character's skill set, it's better to unlock base abilities first rather than having a select few and upgrading them right after. With all the base abilities available, it opens up players to more moves during combat and it also gives opportunities for special skill challenges, which merited with money and experience.

This also allows players to try out all the character's base abilities first, and then decide which ones are better than the others. From there, players can select which abilities should be upgraded.

"Shadow of War" now has a "might" meter, which enables players to use special abilities after hitting high on the combo system. When players reach a certain level in the combo meter, it will turn red and certain buttons will appear for the special skills. What's good about this "might" meter is that players don't have to use it right away. It remains the same until the player uses it on a special skill.

Gear can be upgraded in "Shadow of War" by successfully executing skill challenges for the weapon itself. The list of skill challenges can be found in the item descriptions. Once players complete a skill challenge, the certain item will unlock passive abilities. The only downside to this is that players still have to use mirian to use the newly unlocked abilities.

For the information of those who are undecided if they should try "Shadow of War" but have played its predecessors, Polygon praises the game for adding more orcs from different kinds and a wider range of personalities, which can be fun and advantageous when building an army.

"Middle-earth: Shadow of War" is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, and Microsoft Windows.
