TV Hosts 'Eat Each Other's Flesh' in Front of Live TV Audience

In front of a live audience, two Dutch television hosts agreed to eat something they have never eaten before: chunks of each other's flesh.

Dennis Storm and Valerio Zeno are hosts of a TV show in The Netherlands called Proefkonijne, which translates as “Guinea Pigs” or “Test Rabbits,” according to various translations. On their show, they engage in activities that other people might consider “stupid,” or just plain gross.

“The punchline of the show is to get really simple answers on stupid questions, such as, 'Can you shave with tomato sauce' or 'Can you drive blind?' ” Storm told ABC News. “And we wanted to find out how human flesh tasted.”

In order to do so, the duo went to a surgeon and had a small chuck of their abdomen surgically removed. Later on the show, a chef sauteed the flesh in a pan with a little bit of oil before serving the “meat” on a fancy table with candles and wine.

“We didn’t add any salt or pepper because we wanted to know what it tasted like,” Storm said.

At the table, the hosts allegedly ate each other's flesh, but the actual episode will not be aired until Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the Netherlands, after much hype over the cannibalism gimmick.

Despite the international attention the two have received, Storm insists eating human flesh is not a big deal.

“There's nothing really special about human meat,” Dennis said, according to Huffington Post. “It is weird to look into the eyes of a friend when you are chewing on his belly. It was just a few centimeters of meat - and now I have a good story about the scar.”

Although there were question about the legality of engaging in cannibalism, the show insists no laws were broken since both hosts volunteered to be eaten.
