WWE 2017 Rumors: Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon to Face Each Other's Wrath; Jinder Mahal to Remain Champion Longer Than Expected?
In World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) upcoming "Hell in a Cell," Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon could be the two to fight in the cage. Meanwhile, WWE could make Jinder Mahal their champion far longer than expected.
WWE will have its ninth "Hell in a Cell" this Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, Cageside Seats reports, and one of the matches that are anticipated is between Owens and McMahon.
Owens has had his blood boiling over McMahon for quite a while now because of how he lost the United States title and failed to regain it back. Owen's anger led to him throwing offensive comments to McMahon, as well as beating up his father. McMahon is surely out to get revenge, and his chance to do so will be in the Sunday event.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that WWE is planning to keep Mahal as their champion far longer than expected, according to Inquisitr.
WWE wants Mahal to remain champion until WrestleMania 34, and the only thing that might change their plans is if the Indo-Canadian professional wrestler loses his title on the upcoming "Hell in a Cell" event this Sunday.
The reason why WWE wants Mahal as their champion is because of their upcoming tour in India, which is anticipated to take place in December. WWE has begun expanding in India, and one of the ways they've done so is by launching an online merchandise store.
But if Mahal loses his title, WWE is expecting him to win it back during the tour in India.
Meanwhile, other bets for this Sunday's "Hell in a Cell" are The New Day and The Usos for the Tag Team Title, Mahal and Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship, Natalya and Charlotte for SmackDown women's, AJ Styles and Baron Corbin for the U.S. championships, Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode, and Randy Orton and Rusev.
Fans can watch WWE's "Hell in a Cell" event this Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
