Melissa Barnhart has served as managing editor for The Christian Post since February 2021. She graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in government, religion and communications, and a master's degree in communications.
She joined CP in 2013, reporting on a variety of national political issues, including immigration, and has covered numerous church and ministry events.
Along with her colleagues, she has won several Evangelical Press Association awards.
Ms. Barnhart began her reporting career in college by working for a city newspaper where she interviewed pastors, politicians, Olympic gold medalist Jennie Finch, and former President of Mexico Vicente Fox.
