5 things to know about pipe bombing suspect Brian Cole Jr.

1. Cole was a ‘low-key’ person with few friends
Judge Jeanine Pirro, the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, provided additional details about Cole in an appearance on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” Thursday night. Revealing that federal law enforcement officers had “surveilled him” leading up to his arrest, Pirro detailed how “he was always wearing his headphones.”
“He would take his dog out. He would go to the 7-Eleven,” Pirro said.
“His closest friends were his family,” she added, describing Cole as "low-key" and "low-profile."
According to Pirro, “He lives with his mom and his sisters. He would go to work for a few hours a day; his father had a bail bondsman company.”
Pirro stressed that the suspect did not have “a lot of social media,” had few friends and did not have a criminal record. She characterized Cole as “that quiet individual that you would never imagine could put a pipe bomb [and] put it together.”
