4. Became a prominent conservative voice
Michael first started in radio in the late 1980s, guest hosting on local stations such as KABC in Los Angeles before transitioning to his own shows on KSDO in San Diego.
For nearly two decades he hosted "The Michael Reagan Show," which was nationally syndicated and provided daily conservative commentary on politics, culture and current events.
He also contributed as a columnist and commentator for the conservative outlet Newsmax, and was a popular national speaker at conservative events, Republican gatherings and organizations like Young America's Foundation, which owns and operates the historic Reagan Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
Michael also set world records in powerboat racing for charity, using the sport to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Statue of Liberty Restoration Fund. He became a proponent of adoption, serving on the advisory board for Mixed Roots Foundation, which promotes foster care and adoption around the world.
