Christian Artist Calls for Adoption Revolution

Christian Artist Calls for Adoption Revolution

A revolution is starting across the nation, one orphan at a time.

Partnering with Bethany Christian Services, the nation's largest adoption agency, Integrity Music artist Daniel Bashta has created, a new initiative to raise funds to support adopting parents.

The mission is simple: Get the single, give an adoption, be the movement, and spread the roar.

So what exactly is the single and when does the roar start to kick in?

"Like a Lion" is the name of Bashta's song that's hoping to grant children and teens a "forever family," just like it did for him and his wife, Taylor.

Because of that song, he and his wife were able to adopt domestically their first child – Phoenix Green Bashta aka "Pho," a beautiful baby boy.

Asked to be a part of the delivery by the birth mother, the couple witnessed the incredible birth of their son, and Taylor was humbled to even cut the umbilical cord.

"Adoption is the most powerful thing," expressed Taylor. "It's such a cool picture of how we were adopted into God's family… There's so many out there that need parents that love them."

Further fueling the cause, Bashta shared, "I don't know a better gift than life. I think it's time for us to wake up and stop preaching and actually start acting. I'm trying to, everything I do, be missional."

"I truly believe with all my heart that an adoption revolution has to erupt out of our local churches," he continued. "We must start living our worship in motion. Then we will begin to see the contagious results of city transformation, … our generation will arise with passion and be marked as the 'Roaring Generation.'"

Though not everyone is called to adopt, anyone can help support the cause.

"God mentions taking care of the orphans over 60 times in the Bible. It's just part of his heart beat," Taylor wrote. "Adoption is a miracle and I believe the best way to fight the pro-life battle our culture is fighting."

A give what you want download, "Like a Lion" will be available through their website. All the money that comes in through the website will go directly to help a couple adopt their child.

Every gift is tax-deductible and will go through the couple's 501(c)(3) ministry, GoMotion Worldwide, a non-profit organization founded to unite music, media, and missions.

"I ask that you give so extravagantly that the ground shakes with our generosity," Bashta urged.

At the end of the project, a documentary will be made to tell the story of Project Gift.

Could it be that in our day and in our time, we will see the Great Commission become the Great Completion, as we hear the most beautiful chorus of heaven echo through the streets, Bashta penned.

"I believe God is looking for a lion generation. An army that is ready to roar in this culture and provoke change," the worship pastor revealed. "May we experience a personal revival in our lives that provokes repentance and produces a resurrection power for all of the world to see. Like a lion."

Just as the song sings, believers can let a love so bold explode to see revolution occur and testify that "God's not dead, He's surely alive, He's living on the inside, roaring like a lion."
