'We will miss you down here': Christian artists react to Dolly Parton's death at 80

Grammy-winning Christian artist Steven Curtis Chapman shared a black-and-white photograph of himself with Parton from earlier in their careers and remembered her as someone who used her God-given gifts to bring joy to others.

“Dolly gave the world so many beautiful moments using the incredible gifts and the kind heart God gave her,” Chapman wrote.

“I’ll surely never forget this special moment & we will truly miss the bright light that she was!”
