'We will miss you down here': Christian artists react to Dolly Parton's death at 80

4. Carrie Underwood

Country superstar and outspoken Christian Carrie Underwood offered a faith-filled tribute to Parton, declaring that she knows where the country music legend is following her death.

“She’s not gone. I know exactly where she is,” Underwood wrote. “She was the epitome of faith, grace, talent, beauty and humor. She had a humble heart for Jesus and made everyone around her feel special.”

Underwood described Parton as “probably the one person on planet Earth that everyone loved and could agree on,” adding that the music icon was “a one of one and no one will ever come close.”

“It’s alright to be sad that this world lost a legend, but heaven gained an angel,” she concluded. “Well done, good and faithful Dolly. Welcome home.”
