Christina Aguilera's Incident at Etta James' Funeral Goes Viral

Christina Aguilera's took to the stage during the star studded funeral for Etta James recently, belting out an impressive rendition of James' platinum hit "At Last."

However, while the audience gave her continuous applause, some could not help but notice an unidentified substance running down Aguilera's legs throughout her performance which critics suspect could be fake tan, according to Mail Online.

In the viral video, which has received over a million views in just two days, Aguilera can be seen awkwardly wiping the substance from her legs as she speaks to the audience.

"I have to first of all say what an amazing honor it is for me to have been welcomed here today ... to pay tribute to the great Ms. Etta James," Aguilera said pausing mid sentence to wipe her legs.

"There is a song that I've included in my tour for over a decade now ... and I went around the world throughout all of my career saying that Ms. Etta James was my favorite singer in the whole whole wide world. It's very emotional for me to sing it today," she continued.

"There's a line in this song that says 'I found a dream that I could speak to,' and for me that dream all my life has been Etta James. I've aspired to sing like her, be like her, to emulate her notes and her passion and the love for what she did," Aguilera said.

Although Aguilera has not addressed the malfunction speculation, she did post a picture of herself singing with her beloved idol.

"One of the greatest moments of my life ... Singing with my idol, the legendary Etta James. You will forever be missed," Aguilera tweeted along with the picture.

Immediately after footage of "The Voice" judge's performance went viral, some celebrities, including reality star Kourtney Kardashian, took to Twitter to weigh in on the matter.

"Wow Christina Aguilera's performance at Etta James' funeral gave me chills her voice is so amazing! That's what people should focus on!" Kardashian tweeted.

James' funeral was held at at the Bishop Noel Jones City of Refuge in Gardena, California and included other renowned attendees like Stevie Wonder and Al Sharpton.

The talented blues singer, 73, passed away on Jan. 20 after losing her long term battle with Leukemia.
