5. Alleged unpaid condo fees

One of the most recent Crockett controversies involves alleged unpaid condo fees amid lavish campaign spending.

Crockett drew scrutiny earlier this month for an unpaid lien exceeding $3,000 on her luxury condominium in Dallas, Texas, which was owed to the Westside Condominium Association since April 2024, according to Fox News.

County records showed she "failed and refused" to pay HOA fees, ranging $222–$403 monthly, despite her $174,000 congressional salary.

The story came amid revelations that her campaign spent nearly $75,000 in 2025 on high-end hotels, limousines and security, which raised questions about fiscal responsibility.

Critics, including GOP strategists, called it hypocritical for a lawmaker who has pushed rhetoric promoting defunding the police.
