Samsung Galaxy S2 Release Date: Now Available in White?

There has been a considerable amount of drama surrounding the U.S. debut of the Samsung Galaxy S2. However, some good news about the highly coveted smartphone is that it may soon be available in white.

Several sources indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S2 will soon be available in Canada and will be powered by the Bell Mobility network.

Photos have surfaced on MobileSyrup of the sleek white smartphone. The phone has been available in Asia for about a month and will also soon be available in the U.K.

There is currently no word of whether it will be released in the U.S.

GizmoCrunch suggests that the white Galaxy S2 may be released in the U.S. within the next month as the original black smartphone debuted in Canada one month before it did in America.

The blog hopes that a white Galaxy S2 will come out on the AT&T network by November, detailing that with the addition of GSM and its model number, the AT&T smartphone is the most similar to the international model.

The blog also notes that third party retailers such as Best Buy and RadioShack often get exclusive color options on popular Android smartphones.

While global markets have been touting the Galaxy S2 as early as May, the smartphone has only recently released in the U.S. on the Sprint Network on September 16 under the name Epic 4G Touch.

The proposed September 18 release date for the AT&T Galaxy S2 came and went with no phone and many disgruntled customers. However, AT&T confirmed on Wednesday that the smartphone would release on October 2.

A T-Mobile associate confirmed with The Christian Post on Tuesday that the Galaxy S2 will debut on the network sometime next week.
