Sarah Jessica Parker Opens Home for Obama Fundraiser Dinner

Sarah Jessica Parker has released an announcement that not only endorses her support of President Obama but invites fans to enter a contest to win dinner with the president at her home.

The "Sex and the City" star and Vogue magazine's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour are planning a campaign dinner for the president and offering others a chance to win two tickets with $3 online donations.

In a 30-second video, Parker, known as SJP, explains the new sweepstakes as being for the President, whom she refers to as "that guy who created four million jobs," among other policies he's implemented.

Anyone who enters the contest by donating $3 or more may win tickets to the event which will be attended by President Obama and the First Lady on June 14.

"I'm hosting this event on June 14th because there is so much at stake this year and I want to keep doing what I can," Parker wrote in an email which appeared in an advertisement during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

"As a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur, I need to believe our country can be a place where everyone has a fair shot as success," concluded Parker. "This November's election will determine whether we get to keep moving forward, or if we're forced to go back to policies that ask people like my middle-class family in Ohio to carry the burden- while people like me, who don't need tax breaks, get extra help."

In light of Parker's offer, First Lady Michelle Obama has praised the actress in an interview with Politico this week.

"Sarah Jessica Parker is a loving mom, an incredibly hard worker, and a great role model," said the First Lady according to Politico. "She's one of those people you can't help but admire."

"Barack and I are thrilled that we're invited for an evening at her home in New York next week," she added.

Similarly, last month, George Clooney hosted a dinner at his Los Angeles home where nearly 150 attended and paid $40,000 a ticket to see President Obama. The event saw some $15 million with more than half of the amount coming from online donors entering a ticket raffle.
