Shawn Ryan, Tucker Carlson discuss Satan, UFOs, revival: ‘All this stuff is spiritual’

3. Ryan’s conversion, demonic attacks and the number 444

While discussing how he placed Bibles in the foundation of his studio, Ryan shared a story about his conversion to Christianity, describing a pivotal experience in Sedona, Arizona, where he claimed he encountered unmistakable “signs.”

“Without going into it, but my journey to Christ was through signs,” said Ryan, who often has guests on his podcast to discuss spiritual topics such as near-death experiences. “I had this experience in Sedona where I came to Christ, and three things happened to me, all very profound things within about 15 minutes.”

“I think God speaks to you through [the] gut, and I think the signs are always there, but a lot of us are too busy and wrapped up in our own s--- to see them,” he added.

Ryan recounted three significant events that occurred within about 15 minutes, which he interpreted as God trying to get his attention.

“I’m driving back to the studio, and I look at the clock and it says 4:44. I look at the gas thing, and it says 444 miles left to empty, and it’s 4 hours and 44 minutes after my conversation with my IT guy,” says Ryan. “I call up my social media manager. I’m like, ‘hey, look up 444; I want to know what it means.'”

Ryan said he called one of his spiritual mentors to ask his interpretation of what he was encountering.

“I was like, ‘Hey, this happened to me, I don't know what this means. I think I need to lean into Jesus a little bit here,’” he remembered. “And that's not something I've done in probably the past 20 years. So he started going on about this stuff with demonic attacks, now that I've shown a side, and he goes, ‘Man, a lot of people have been praying for this to happen.’”

Ryan said he had a nearly identical conversation later with Adam, his Catholic IT guy.
