'Star Wars' Movie Update, Luke Skywalker Character Story Revealed?

The huge fandom of George Lucas' epic space opera franchise, "Star Wars" is once again fired up with the announcement concerning the official title for its upcoming sequel "Star Wars 7."

As revealed in Bloomberg TV, the current CEO of Disney, Bob Iger, said that director JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy came up with the name "The Force Awakens" for the forthcoming film.

"It was a decision that was made by a few people involved in the process, Kathleen Kennedy who runs Lucas film for us, and J.J. Abrams who is directing The Force Awakens … I was gonna say Star Wars VII but now there's a new name," the head for Mouse House was quoted as saying in an interview.

"We are involved in the decision. We feel great about the film. We can't wait until it comes out. We are only one of many that can't wait," Iger added.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will once again feature actor of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Peter Mayhew,of the original trilogy. Joining them are new actors Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver, and Max von Sydow, among others.

Little has been revealed about the actors and their roles in the new movie. However, rumors particularly pointing out to Hamill's Luke Skywalker revealed that the iconic Jedi Master will become more powerful.

Screen Rant reported that Luke Skywalker will have a "force unleashed" moment that could prove to be "bad for the universe."

Following that event, the character will "retreat into a self-imposed exile for many years."

Deranged for that long seclusion, Skywalker might return to "society" wielding a great power that even he couldn't take control of.

Citing the site Making Star Wars, the website further reported that Luke Skywalker will have a "creepy and frightening appearance" which suggests that his madness (brought by seclusion) will result to the "awakening" of his evil self.

"However, the villain and the new hero both draw Skywalker out and he's forced to intervene in the galactic conflict," Screen Rant clarified.

"Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" is slated to hit the big screen on Dec. 18, 2015.
