Tim Tebow Wins Again With a Best Selling Book

Tim Tebow's heavenly win streak may be over, but he still seems to be in God's favor as his book, released in May, tops the New York Times best selling list.

Through My Eyes: A Quarterback's Journey was released on May 31 with a solid buzz, but fell off the charts until about three weeks ago when it climbed to the top ten.

Currently the book is No. 8 on the best selling list, and has charted for the last 13 weeks.

"We have to go back to reprint practically every day," said Senior Vice President of HarperCollins, Lisa Sharkey to the New York Post.

Nathan Whitaker, the co-author of the book told Fox, "We went over every word together . . . He said, 'Gosh, the way you've written about it sounds likes I'm bragging.'"

He continued, "We left out half of his awards because he was afraid it would come off as bragging. . . . He had them [trophies and plaques] in boxes; he had them in closets. He wanted to make sure it didn't come across in a way that really wasn't him. . . . He's just one of the guys."

Prior to last night's loss, Tebow had won six games in a row for his Denver Broncos with each coming in miraculous fashion as he always made the impossible possible.

“It’s not luck,” said Tebow's pastor, Wayne Hanson to TMZ.. “Luck isn’t winning six games in a row. It’s favor. God’s favor.”

According to Hanson, Tebow would not be winning as much if his faith was not so strong.

Tebow, however, is beginning to feel the pressure of statements like this, and is trying to avoid any credit for the team winning.

“I don’t think it’s Tebow Time, I think it’s the Broncos Time," he said Sunday after the game in a statement.

Tebow's leadership has been brought up quite a bit lately, and some are starting to wonder if it is that specific characteristic that is responsible for the wins rather than his faith.

Steve Tobak of CBS news wrote about Tebow in his column, saying, "Growing up with a strong family unit, sense of community, and system of ethics and beliefs -- as Tebow did -- is really important in leadership. I think people with a strong cultural background are more effective at creating a strong corporate culture."
