5. Record low number of illegals released, apprehended in November

During a White House press briefing on Thursday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt shared updated statistics about the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement efforts.

“The latest preliminary numbers released from the month of November show we have the most secure border in our nation’s history,” she asserted. Leavitt detailed how, in November, “there were only 30,367 total encounters nationwide” between illegal aliens and immigration enforcement officials.

“That’s lower than the previous record set in October,” she added. “For the seventh consecutive month, U.S. Border Patrol released zero illegal aliens into the United States.”

Praising the release of zero illegal immigrants into the U.S. as a “historic achievement” that “every law-abiding American citizen should be grateful for,” Leavitt explained that “at this point, in 10 months under President Trump’s unmatched leadership, we’ve seen less apprehensions overall than we saw in just one month under [former President] Joe Biden.”

Statistics compiled by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol reveal that during the first nine full months of the Trump administration, monthly encounters between illegal immigrants and immigration law enforcement consistently hovered between 24,000 and 31,000.

By contrast, the number of monthly encounters recorded during the last two years of the Biden administration consistently remained above 100,000, only dropping below that number during January, the month that Biden’s term expired and Trump’s term began.
