Edan Alexander, 19
A former resident of New Jersey, Edan Alexander, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen, went missing shortly after the Oct. 7 attacks. The 19-year-old graduated from Tenafly High School in Bergen County last year and was serving in the Israel Defense Forces when he disappeared.
According to an Oct. 11 CBS News Philadelphia report, Alexander was on duty near the Gaza Strip border when Hamas terrorists invaded southern Israel. The outlet reported that Alexander had not been seen since that day.
On Wednesday, CNN's Jake Tapper interviewed several American families whose loved ones remain in captivity. The families gathered in Washington, D.C., to attend a roundtable with the House Foreign Affairs Committee and other meetings.
"The Biden administration, they do more than enough since the first day, but the math shouldn't fool us," Adi Alexander, the father of the captive Israeli soldier, said during the interview.
"He doesn't belong there," the father added. "He belongs with us, with the family."
