Jennifer Aniston Haircut: 'I Just Got Bored!'

Jennifer Aniston is the latest star in Hollywood to make a big change to her look with a bob haircut this week.

The 44-year-old actress is famous for her varying hairstyles as Rachel on "Friends" from 1994 to 2004, but Aniston proved she can still surprise fans on Monday.

Known for her long blonde hair, Aniston caught fans off-guard when she stepped out with chin-length hair in Los Angeles.

"It was kind of spur-of-the-moment," the star explained to Vogue.com the same day. "I was flipping through television channels and I paused it to take a picture and I sent it to Chris [McMillan, her hair stylist] and he said, 'That's [stylist] Lawren Howell from Vogue!' And then he said, 'I just cut that!' So that's it."

Without a moment of hesitation, Aniston had her stylist cut over six inches of hair.

"I did it! I feel great, I feel lighter," said the actress, according to Vogue. "It's simple, it's really simple, that's for sure. But I'm always one of those girls who does a big old chop just to get it really healthy, to repair all the [damage from] hair coloring and stuff like that. And I just got bored, honestly. It's fun to change it up once in a while."

As for styling her new hairdo, Aniston admitted that the process is easy.

"It kind of dried on its own, we just shook it out," she said of the initial cut. "There's a little round brush we used to get at the root, and then I took Amp, and I put it all through the root so that it had a little bit of grit to it."

Meanwhile, Aniston is no stranger to discussing matters of her hair, and the actress is not only a spokesperson for Living Proof hair care products, but is also part-owner of the company.

The "We're the Millers" star is preparing to begin filming "Horrible Bosses 2" which is expected in theaters next year.
