A Miami airport bus accident has left two people dead after a bus smashed into an overpass on Saturday Dec. 1, 2012.
Reports have confirmed that there were at least 32 people on board the bus when it hit the overpass at Miami International Airport on Saturday.
Two people have already been confirmed killed by the tragic accident, and NBC Miami are also reporting that at least four people are critically injured.
Airport spokesman Greg Chin has told reporters that the bus was either a cruise or a tour bus, according to NBC. Chin explained that the bus was traveling at about 20 miles per hour at the time of the crash, and that it hit the roof entrance at the airport's arrival section.
Police and ambulance workers joined airport security staff at the scene and the area was blocked off by police cars and fire trucks in the immediate aftermath of the accident.
There has not yet been any confirmation about where the bus was heading towards when it crashed, but some reports have said police are indicating that the driver was not supposed to be at the airport at the time of the crash. He has been described as "unfamiliar with the area."
Chin has confirmed that the bus should not have been on the road it had gone down and that all buses are supposed to go to the departure area and not enter or exit through the arrival section of the airport.
