Samsung Galaxy A7 Specs, Release Date: Device Seen On FCC, Comes With 3,300 mAh Battery
Samsung is gearing up to release next generation devices of its Galaxy A series, which includes the Samsung Galaxy A7. A few months after the new device passed through China's TENAA, the A7 has recently passed through the FCC and is listed to have a bigger capacity battery compared to the current generation model of the phone. According to a report in BGR India, the device is said to have a 3,300 mAh battery.
If reports are true, the new device's battery will be a huge improvement as the current generation only had a 2,600 mAh battery, which meant its power performance was not as good as the other smartphones around.
The phone is listed in the FCC as model number SM-A7100 and aside from the battery, the device is listed to have the following measurements: 74.5 mm wide and 151.8 mm long. The next generation model is therefore narrower than its predecessor which had a width of 76.2 mm.
According to another report in Tech Times, the new Galaxy A7 will have a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Under the hood, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 3 GB of RAM. Internal storage is rumored to be at 16 GB and is expandable via a microSD card slot.
The phone is rumored to be equipped with a 13 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel secondary selfie camera. Software wise, it will come pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top of it. Among the device's connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
While Samsung has yet to make any official announcement, the fact that the device has already passed through certification with TENAA and FCC usually indicates that the phone will likely be unveiled soon. According to the Tech Times report, these certification authorities are usually the last stop before the device is formally released to the market.
