Photos Taken With Samsung Galaxy S3 Camera Leak

Photos that were reportedly taken with the camera on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 were leaked onto a Picasa account earlier today.

The pictures appear to be of an old building made of brick. Most of the structure has fallen or deteriorated, leaving only walls up in the photos.

The user who uploaded the pictures identified the phone used for the shoot as the Samsung GT-I9300 which is known in other circles as the Galaxy S3. This is the internal model number of the device that is expected to launch in the coming weeks.

The camera on the device is rumored to be an 8-megapixel shooter.

The pictures that leaked have great quality and show nice detail in the structure that was photographed.

There is a good chance that these pictures could have been taken by a developer who was testing the new device.

However, releasing an actual picture of the Galaxy S3 they were sent would be pointless, since Samsung has not been shipping the handset to developers and retailers in its actual body.

Samsung is expected to unveil the smartphone at its upcoming Mobile Unpacked media event that it is hosting in London, England on May 5.

The company has previously stated that it will not wait too long after the unveiling to release the product.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 will most likely feature Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich along with many other upgrades to the company's flagship device.

Rumored specifications for the Galaxy S3 include a 4.6-inch display at 720 x 1184 without on-screen buttons or 720 x 1280 resolution including the on-screen buttons with 320 DPI, a quad-core 1.4GHZ processor running Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich smoothly, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot.
