Samsung Galaxy S3 Headed to Verizon Along With Motorola RAZR HD

The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available on Verizon when it is released in the coming months, according to BGR, who recently received this information through a leaked roadmap from the carrier.

Verizon passed on the Galaxy S2 last year after deciding to invest its resources into the Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich Galaxy Nexus that launched in December of last year on the carrier.

It seems that the company is now anticipating the Galaxy S3 to be the most popular Android device to be released this year.

The smartphone is expected to hit shelves in the U.S. during the summer.

The roadmap also revealed other exciting devices such as a 5-inch HTC Galaxy Note competitor that will land on Verizon in the fall of 2012.

The HTC smartphone-tablet hybrid will feature a 5-inch 1080p HD display with a non-PenTile layout, a new chipset that includes a quad-core CPU, HTC Sense 5, and a stylus known as a Scribe pen. Verizon wants to make it a flagship device that will go head to head with AT&T's highly successful Galaxy Note.

There will also be multiple RAZR models coming to Verizon in the coming months including a smartphone that will most likely be named the Motorola RAZR HD. It will feature a larger and clearer display than its predecessor.

Verizon launched the original Droid RAZR device last year that went on to be rated as CNET's top smartphone of 2011, and released a variant of it known as the RAZR Maxx that features a 3300 mAh battery earlier this year.

The carrier also possesses the country's largest LTE network that will be a home for the 4G LTE iPhone that is expected to be launched by Apple in the summer, or fall of this year.
