Reducing abortions, faith and unity: Americans share their hopes for Trump’s presidency

Pro-life advocate calls for Trump to remember that abortion is a 'central issue'
Seth Drayer, the vice president of the pro-life group Created Equal, said he and his team traveled to Washington, D.C., on Inauguration Day to remind Trump about the “one central moral issue in America today.” The pro-life leader drew attention to the topic of abortion, asserting that no other issue results in the deliberate deaths of around 3,000 children every day.
While Drayer said that he is grateful Trump won the 2024 presidential election over Vice President Kamala Harris, the advocate still expressed concern about what he views as a change in Trump's rhetoric on the issue.
“We are grateful for what he has done,” the Created Equal vice president said. “We want to remind him to keep defending the victims.”
According to Drayer, who traveled to the nation's capital with 10 other members of Created Equal, he and his fellow pro-life advocates want to see Trump do at least the “minimum” to stop abortion. For example, Drayer believes that people on the political Left and Right can support outlawing sex-selective abortions.
“I would like to see all abortion ended,” the pro-life leader explained. “But I'm happy with slowly rolling back the killing.”
