Starbuck devoted an X post published on Sept. 19 to discussing the progress made as a result of his communication with executives at Caterpillar, which manufactures construction equipment. As was the case with other companies that have scaled back DEI, Caterpillar agreed to amend its company policies after Starbuck informed them of his plans to "expose their woke policies."

Initiatives at Caterpillar that fell by the wayside following conversations between Starbuck and company leadership include the abandonment of "woke trainings" and "donations to divisive events" as well as its participation in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index. Caterpillar also implemented a new policy requiring that "All sponsorships, speakers, donations and events must be approved at the executive level to ensure that nothing is divisive or politically charged."
