In a post published on X on Sept. 3, Starbuck identified the beer manufacturer Coors as the latest company to scale back its DEI policies. He indicated that the changes came about after he messaged executives at the business to alert them that he intended to "expose their woke policies."

In response to Starbuck's concerns, Coors agreed to no longer participate in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, abolish "DEI based training programs," stop giving donations to "divisive events" and abandon "supplier diversity goals." The company also committed to stop tying compensation of employees and executives to "DEI hiring goals."
