6 things to know about Kathryn Krick, self-proclaimed 'apostle' and faith healer

1. Krick is a self-proclaimed apostle
Krick presents herself as an apostle and is the lead pastor of Five-Fold Church in Los Angeles. She claims to operate in supernatural healing and deliverance, casting out demons and performing miracles during her services.
Her claim of “apostle” — a title traditionally reserved in Christian theology for those directly commissioned by Jesus or recognized by the early Church — has drawn criticism from some biblical scholars and theologians who argue that modern apostleship, as she presents it, lacks scriptural backing.
Videos on her social media show Krick “casting out demons” and performing “faith healing”: “When you have the anointing, it is not difficult to cast out demons,” she declares in one video.
“She claims to heal people (in Jesus’ name) of serious conditions like cancer, HIV, breathing difficulties, depression, suicidal ideation, and drug and alcohol addiction; neurological disorders like autism; and personal hardships like poverty and insomnia,” notes an Alta Journal profile on Krick.
