Visa, Mastercard and Discover

Visa and other credit card companies had faced criticism from NCOSE for doing business with Pornhub, a major distributor of internet pornography. NCOSE thanked Visa, Mastercard, and Discover for cutting ties with Pornhub. Mastercard, another credit card company, claimed that if not for NCOSE, they would not have known about the extent of abuse on the pornography platform.

However, NCOSE remains concerned about Visa continuing to do business with Mindgeek, the owner of Pornhub, and processing payments for brothels and OnlyFans, a subscription pornography program, and Seeking Arrangement, a website that connects college students with wealthy, older men so they can be “sexually used.” NCOSE likened so-called “sugar dating” to prostitution.
