'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Ben Weston Breaks Out of Bayview to Confront Abby

Spoilers for the coming week's episodes of "Days of Our Lives" tease the return of a familiar character. While the re-emergence of the psychotic man Ben Weston will cause some unpleasant things to happen in Salem, his presence will reportedly give Abby a chance to deal with her past heartbreaks and will provide closure to some of her most painful experiences.

Back in July, fans started speculating that Robert Scott Wilson's Ben might actually make a big comeback in the near future. Speculations started to grow rife following "Days of Our Lives" head writer Ron Carlivati's comments in an interview around that time when he said that Vincent Irizarry's Deimos Kiriakis could have been murdered by Abby during an encounter.

Although it has yet to be confirmed, it is possible that Abby's hallucinations at the time of Deimos' death prompted her to kill the latter. It can be recalled that back then, she was always under the influence of halo and assumed that Ben was planning to attack her.

The spoilers for this Thursday's (Sept. 28) episode of the series suggest that after being incarcerated for a while, Ben will be able to break out of Bayview—just as preparations for a double wedding are ongoing. This was not his first time to slip away from the place, however. It can be recalled that when Abby was about to marry Chad for the first time, he also tried to escape from Bayview.

Now that Ben is free again, things will be difficult for Abby. Spoilers for the remaining episodes in the coming week suggest that the psycho will wage a war against her and her family soon. With Ben being the primary reason for Abby's mental illness, it remains to be seen if his return will have a lasting effect on her attempt to recover from her past traumatic experiences.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays at 1 p.m. EDT on NBC.
