Evelyn Lozada Details How Chad Johnson Allegedly Headbutted Her

Evelyn Lozada, 36-year-old "Basketball Wives" star, recently spoke about her domestic dispute with estranged husband Chad Johnson on ABC News program "Nightline."

Lozada spoke in detail about the 34-year-old NFL free agent allegedly headbutting her on Aug. 11 which led to the authorities being called, him losing endorsements, their joint VH1 reality television show and his spot on the Miami Dolphins roster.

The reality television star said she initially confronted Johnson about finding a receipt for contraceptives which was dated three weeks after she was married. Johnson said she found the receipt when taking groceries out of his car, and later returned to the vehicle to confront him.

"And then the next thing I know, he grabbed me by here [pointing to her head] and he headbutted me," Lozada said in the interview that aired Friday night. "I felt blood coming down my face… and I looked at him and I said, 'You just headbutted me?' And it just -- everything just felt if it was in slow motion."

After Johnson allegedly struck Lozada, she spoke about running to a neighbor's house to hide and call police. The altercation resulted in six stitches on Lozada's forehead.

While she admitted to still loving Johnson, she said the man that struck her was unrecognizable at the moment of the dispute.

"He was gone to me, like, it wasn't him," she said. "He got out of the car, really, really quick and ran into the house, and I said to myself, 'I need to get out of here.'"

However, fans offered mixed reactions to the Lozada interview.

"Evelyn Lozada bout to make money off of what happened while Chad lost his job cuz of it (sic)," one person tweeted about the reality television star's interview.

Still, Johnson's daughter seemed to be more forgiving. Jicyra Johnson, the NFL player's 14-year-old daughter sent her love to Lozada after the interview aired.

"Sent all of my love to @EvelynLozada this morning," Jicyra tweeted on Sunday. "Love her."
