Jennifer Williams Reveals How 'Basketball Wives' Changed Her Life

Jennifer Williams may no longer be a member on the VH1 show "Basketball Wives," but she believes that some good came of the experience.

Although the entrepreneur and reality television star rose to fame on "Basketball Wives" where she appeared for four seasons, she quit after being physically assaulted by the assistant of her former best friend and fellow castmate Evelyn Lozada. Still, Williams recently spoke about how the experience helped her end an unhealthy relationship with her ex-husband and former NBA player Eric Williams.

"Being on 'Basketball Wives,' my life has definitely changed," Williams told Live Life in Style. "If I can save one woman from being in a bad relationship and just convince them to have the courage to go out there and find what makes them happy, that makes me happy."

She spoke about how the reality television show pushed her out of her comfort zone.

"('Basketball Wives') forced (me) to make some decisions that I might not have made if I wasn't on the show. In regards to my marriage, I was comfortable," Williams said. "It was convenient, though it wasn't the best thing. It was what I knew, but at the same time I knew I wasn't happy."

Still, things weren't all good for Williams on her last season on the show. However, she said that the day she was physically assaulted during season four made her a stronger person.

Now, it seems Williams may be gearing up to star in her own reality television show. Last year, Williams appeared on BET's "Mind Body and Soul" to reveal why her upcoming reality television show will be different from "Basketball Wives."

"Now going through it, I'm going to be having some control over editing... I want to be able to tell my story 100 percent," Williams said on the show that aired last year. "('Basketball Wives' didn't show my evolution. I feel like it just focused on drama with a friend. I just want to tell my story in the right light."
