As part of his effort to become the presidential nominee, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg spent around $500 million in campaign ads.

Despite the large financial expenditure, Bloomberg was only able to win American Samoa, a U.S. territory that has a total of six delegates. He secured five of the delegates while Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii secured one.

In statements given to the press, Bloomberg explained that he had “no expectations for today” and he vowed to continue to fight to secure the nomination.

“I have no intention of dropping out. We're in it to win it. I don't understand why you would not ask other candidates that,” Bloomberg quipped, according to Fox News.

On Wednesday morning, however, Mike Bloomberg announced that he was suspending his campaign and endorsing Biden.
