4. Wants Trump to run for third term; believes 2020 presidential election was stolen

While Zacharia’s appointment as White House press secretary comes as Trump’s second term approaches its halfway point, Zacharia has suggested that the president should seek a third term in office in the 2028 presidential election. She began a Jan. 13 X post with the phrase “Trump 2028” accompanied by an American flag.

The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution bars anyone from being elected president more than twice. In addition to her apparent support for a third Trump term, Zacharia has insisted that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump.

She made this assertion during her appearance on “We the People with Gates Garcia” and brought up the 2020 election again when reflecting on the November 2025 shooting of two West Virginia National Guard members stationed in Washington, D.C., which killed Spc. Sarah Beckstrom. The suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, is an Afghan national.

“The price of a stolen 2020 election and subsequent autopen presidency is American blood,” she stated in a December 2025 X post. The term “autopen presidency” refers to the presidency of Joe Biden, who defeated Trump in the 2020 election. Trump and other conservatives have repeatedly alleged that widespread voter fraud tainted the results of the 2020 presidential election, which relied heavily on the use of mail-in ballots as the COVID-19 pandemic significantly upended American life.
