Paul Baloche Scheduled To Lead Worship At National Memorial For The Pre-Born

Celebrated singer and songwriter Paul Baloche, writer of such classics as “Open the Eyes of My Heart” and “Above Alll,” will be leading worship at this year’s 11th Annual National Memorial for the Pre-born and their Mothers and Fathers, the premier indoor Capitol Hill pro-life event, which is jointly sponsored by the National Pro-Life Religious Council, the National Clergy Council, Priests for Life, Gospel of Life Ministries and Faith and Action.

"The Memorial," as it is called, is both a solemn, prayerful remembrance of all victims of abortion -the babies, their mothers and their fathers -as well as a joyful celebration of God's gift of Life. It was founded by twin brothers and fellow pro-life activists, the Reverend Rob Schenck and Dr. Paul Schenck and is headed now by well-known pro-life clergy leader Fr. Frank Pavone

"Paul is exactly the kind of person to lead worship at the Memorial service, "said Schenck, who still produces the event. "This is not another pro-life rally. It is a worshipful, prayerful experience for everyone."

The National Memorial for the Pre-born will take place in the prestigious and opulent US Senate Russell Building Caucus Room, site of many historic events including hearings on the sinking of the Titanic, the Iran Contra Affair with Col. Oliver North and the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. It is the only complete worship service held in the US Capitol complex of buildings. This year's event will be led by clergy from more than 30 denominations reflecting Catholic, Evangelical, Orthodox and Protestant traditions. Also featured will be liturgical dance and the testimonies of individuals directly affected by abortion.

The Memorial coincides with the annual March for Life and is scheduled so that attendees can easily make their way to the start of the March immediately afterwards. Admission is free and open to all. News media representatives are invited.
