Samsung Galaxy A7 Update Latest: Smartphone Listed on TENAA, Features 3 GB of RAM, 13 MP Camera

Samsung's next-gen Galaxy A7 may be coming out very soon. According to GSM Arena, the model is making some progress. After receiving Bluetooth certification and being spotted on AnTuTu, the new version of Galaxy A7 has already passed through TENAA's verifications.

Certification from the Chinese telecom regulator is essential if the upcoming device is going to be released in China. It's also usually the last stop before the device is released to the market. Approval from TENAA indicates that it's on its way.

The certification revealed some of the specs and features that will come along with the device. Some information that came from previous leaks are also confirmed. In the new TENAA listing, the Samsung Galaxy A7 is tagged with the model number SM-A7100. It has been listed to have a CPU that is clocked at 1.7GHz and will have a bigger RAM count compared to its predecessor.

According to a report by Tech Times, the handset will be equipped with 3 GB of RAM. It is also expected to have an improved version of the chipset. However, the listing did not provide details about it. There are reports though that it will carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615.

Other revealed details include the display which is said to be a 5.5-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The dimensions of the device is 151.5 × 73.95 × 6.95 millimeters (5.96 x 2.91 x 0.27 inches) and it will weigh 155 grams (5.47 ounces). It will be pre-installed with an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and will have a standard storage space of 16 GB. It can be expanded further up to 128 GB via microSD card.

For capturing moments, the mobile device is expected to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera that comes with autofocus and LED flash. The front camera is 5-megapixels only. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and NFC for mobile payments.
