'The Originals' Season 4 Premiere Spoilers: Marcel Is King of New Orleans

With the highly anticipated premiere of "The Originals" season 4 just around the corner, details about the season opener have been revealed.

Titled "Gather Up the Killers," the premiere is set five years after the events in the previous season, which saw Klaus (Joseph Morgan) locked up by Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and the rest of the Mikaelsons in hiding.

"The Originals" season 4 premiere will see Marcel as the "king" of New Orleans. He has Klaus chained to a prison for five years now, and it is driving him crazy.

As shown in the trailer as well as the promotional stills for the first episode, Klaus sees a hallucination of Camille (Leah Pipes) after he calls to her for help.

A couple more photos from "The Originals" season 4 premiere show Marcel talking to his "surrogate" father in his cell and things do not look friendly at all.

However, the royalty has a lot more to deal with in New Orleans and a big reason for it is the absence of the Mikaelsons. Marcel welcomes the un-sired vampires to the city, leaving it vulnerable to attack.

The synopsis for "The Originals" season 4 premiere teases that he will be forced to seek some advice from an "unlikely source." Whether it will be Klaus or not remains to be seen. It is entirely possible since they are shown talking in the promotional stills.

While all this happens, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) continues her mission to find a cure for Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and the others, who are currently in some sort of dreamscape after escaping Marcel.

"The Originals" season 4 premiere will see Hayley already close to finding a cure. She might get help from Keelin, a new character to be played by Christina Moses. She happens to be the last werewolf in her family.

However, things take a dark turn when she "faces a final task that will force her to make a ruthless decision."

"The Originals" season 4 premieres Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
