'Transformers 5' Movie Spoiler: Sequel To Be Shot In London, Detroit, And Chicago?

While it is true that the news about Bumblebee getting his own solo movie overshadowed news about "Transformers 5," people behind the upcoming "Transformers" sequel that's slated for a June 2017 release are still mum on the details of the movie. With information about the movie close to being scarce, those waiting for its release can only content themselves with speculations.

Among the many speculations, the report that Chicago might play host to the cast and crew of the movie is one of those most persistent. However, in Michael Bay's interview with WGN Radio, it turned out that the report about Chicago lending its sights and sounds to the movie is not just a mere rumor but a fact.

When the "Tranformers" returning director was asked if he was planning to destroy Michigan Avenue once more, just like what happened on "Transformers 4," he quipped, "No, we're gonna find a new street… but I love Chicago." He then proceeded talking about the said city's pressing problems, such as gun violence, and said, "We'll come in with some Transformers to even it out."

However, a report on CBS Detroit confirmed the speculations that Michigan will still be a part of the movie as it posted a casting call auditions for "Transformers 5." The report stated that the film is carrying "E75" as its working title and the casting directors are setting up auditions for those interested to be part of it, either for a lead or supporting role. The report also stated that the production will be needing extras, stand-ins, and doubles who will be needed once the cameras start rolling this summer.

The post underscored that the talents must be eligible to work in London and Michigan if they pass the screening auditions.

"Transformer 5" is slated for a June 23, 2017 release, a playdate that was earlier announced for the DC and Warner Bros.' "Wonder Woman" movie.
