3. US suspends military aid, intelligence sharing with Ukraine

Trump suspended military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine this week following his contentious meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House last Friday.

The Monday order suspending military aid impacted more than $1 billion in arms and ammunition to the embattled country, and will be in effect until Trump has "determined that Ukraine had demonstrated a good-faith commitment to peace negotiations with Russia," a White House official said this week, according to The New York Times.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe told Fox Business that the Trump administration's suspensions were intended to force Zelensky to reconsider a peace deal with Russia.

After Zelensky got into a heated argument with Trump and Vice President JD Vance in the Oval Office last week over the topic, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and national security adviser Mike Waltz reportedly told Zelensky to leave and to return when he was ready to discuss peace.

"I don't want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace," Trump wrote on Truth Social following Zelensky's eviction.

Key Republican lawmakers in Congress have entreated Trump to reverse his actions to suspend arms and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, fearing a detrimental effect on the country's war against Russia, according to The Hill.
