4.  Nancy Pelosi: ‘No one is above the law,’ Trump has the right to ‘prove innocence’

In a tweet posted Thursday evening, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who emerged as one of Trump’s biggest foes during his presidency, asserted that “The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law.” She also proclaimed that “No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence.” Pelosi expressed hope that “the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.”

Pelosi’s tweet found itself subjected to “context,” which is “written by people who use Twitter, and appears when rated helpful by others.” The context accompanying Pelosi’s tweet notes that “Ms. Pelosi mistakenly says that Trump can prove his innocence at trial.”
